The
new corporate identity has been very well received at the Hannover-Messe,
where the Baumer Group presented itself under the Baumer Company Label
for the first time. "Only after experiencing our first joint
operation under consistent branding did many people realise how big
the Baumer Group really is," says Axel Vietze, Director Process
Automation Division.
"It is now much easier for us to demonstrate to our costumers
just how wide our range of products are. At the same time it becomes
more obvious that, as a group, we can offer almost any sensor solution
in the Factory Automation and Process Automation Division. Apart from
the public image created by the united appearance, the internal effect
is just as important, says Vietze. "Our shared logo, which has
been paid lots of compliments at the trade fair, will help us very
much to further promote the internal team work and create a common
identity."
"We
know that it is still too early for a final résumé and
that the realisation process requires a lot of delicate work. Nevertheless
we are convinced that the strategy we chose has already proven right
and offers great potential that we are willing to make use of,"
says Vietze. "Our customers already benefit from the changes:
in the fields of pressure sensors and level measuring we specifically
complemented our Process Instrumentation range with products from
the Sensor Solutions Segment.
With
the Bourdon Haenni Group acquired in 2005, Baumer Process Automation
combines the technical knowledge and experience of three enterprises
specialised in high-quality process instrumentation: Bourdon-Sedeme
(Vendôme, France), Haenni Instruments (Jegenstorf, Switzerland)
and Kamstrup Process (Aarhus, Denmark). The fusion of these companies
under the brand of Baumer Group in 2007 created a leading producer
and provider who can look back on more than 150 years of experience.
Its
clear focus on innovation secures the Process Automation Division
a technological advantage across all product segments: Pressure, Temperature,
Level and Conductivity.
At
the Hannover-Messe 2007, the company presented a pressure measurement
system with low drag coefficient made of food and pharmacy grade stainless
steel that fulfils hygienic standards. Baumer also showcased a new
pressure transmitter that offers highest safety in case of overpressure
and excellent long-term stability even with low pressure. It is suitable
for applications in the most difficult surroundings and can be set
up flexibly and mobile with the FlexProgrammer or configurators supporting
other communication protocols.
The
measuring sensors of the Process Automation Division are precise,
solid and compliant to an extremely high degree. Especially the petrochemical
industry requires exact measurements despite high ambient temperatures
in explosive areas. The food industry also relies on high quality
measures that have to deliver correct results even with adhesive materials
such as ketchup, honey or tooth paste. Thanks to its experience and
constant refinement the Process Automation Division is able to consistently
deliver these measurement results.
