Without
a PC connection, the FlexProgrammer is operated by rechargeable batteries
and - after the parameters initially have been programmed on a PC
and stored on the FlexProgrammer - can be used as an independent programming
device reading and saving sensor parameters. An integrated display
shows configuration details, four push buttons allow scrolling the
data and make the FlexProgrammer suitable for remote configuration
in the most challenging environments.
The
software is based on FDT (Field Device Tool) due to which every driver
device acts as a Device Type Manager (DTM). Separate DTM drivers are
available for download at the Baumer website which makes the tool
perfectly suitable for customers who have transmitters from different
suppliers and want to use one FDT software programme for all of them.
